ALL DVD MANUFACTURING

takes place in one of the largest DVD pressing factory’s in Europe, with a monthly production of 20 million discs. The DVD’s are replicated on large pressing machines, using stampers produced from the glass mastering process. This is the type of disc you would buy from HMV and not to be confused with CD duplication.

Because of the complexity in producing a stamper using the glass mastering process, and the time involved in setting up large CD pressing and CD printing machines it is not economical to manufacture CD runs of less than 500 units. For orders below 500 units you will require CD duplication, however this is a service we do not provide as CD-R’s are not universally compatible with all players, unlike the professionally pressed CD’s that we supply.

For DVD glass mastering you can supply the master as either DVD-R, DDPi file (on disc or upload to out FTP) or DLT tape. Please note we can not alter your DVD master, and region codes need to be set by your whilst authoring. We are able to offer various types of copy protection, please call us for details and prices. If you are unable to create your own DVD master, feel free to contact us for recommendations for authoring company’s.

DVD Manufacturing Artwork:- Ideally we would like to receive artwork files as high resolution PDF’s dropped on to our templates, the templates can be found next to prices of each product.. We advise clients to pay careful attention to the guidelines to supplying artwork that can be found in the template download file, artwork that is supplied out of specification may incur artwork charges or will meed to be re-supplied, this can increase lead timesWe do check all artwork before we send it to print, if at this stage we come across any problems we will let you what they are and how to fix them. We will check the re-supplied artwork, however if this is still incorrect we may charge fees to check further submissions, this will be charged at £ 15.00 per re-supply. If you would prefer us to edit your artwork or are looking for a full design service please contact us for prices

If for any reason we make changes to your artwork we will send you PDF files for you to approve before your order is sent to print. If you require we can supply you with AGFA / SHERPA colour accurate proofs for you to approve, these are charged at £25.00+VAT per A4 sheet

Lead times:- From when we receive your DVD master and PDF artwork files, and as long as they are supplied to our specifications, you should allow 14 – 16 calendar days for most products outside the peak times of the year, for digi-packs, jobs that require hand packing and specialist products allow 16 -18 days. If we need to do any editing to your master or artwork this will cause days and we will need to send audio reference disc for masters and PDF proofs for artwork to approve before we can commence manufacturing.During the build up to the summer & Christmas and either side of bank holidays turnaround can be longer. If your turnaround is time critical please advise of this at the outset of your order in and we will do everything we can to deliver for this date. However due to the complexity of manufacturing we can not guarantee to meet all deadlines
